Urs Fricker  (1939-2025)

Urs was a skilled photographer and a world traveller who first joined the Richmond Photo Club in 2006.  He took some time away from the Richmond club but returned in 2024.

Over the years he has won many awards for his nature and travel photography in club evaluations and in external club competitions.  He has won prizes for both his prints as well as digital images.  Urs thrived on giving slide show presentations about his travels, and teaching members about travel photography.

Urs' legacy lives on in the countless photographs he created and the memories he has left with everyone who knew him.  He will be remembered not only for his artistic eye but for his kind spirit, his love of nature, and his unwavering belief in the power of a single moment captured in time.  He was a generous and talented man with an adventurous spirit. He will be missed by all of us who knew him.
